Veg Macaroni Masala

INGREDIENTS

FOR PASTA

  • 2 cups Macaroni Pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

MACARONI INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • ½ cup Carrots diced
  • 1½ cups Bell peppers diced
  • ¾ teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1¼ teaspoon Italian Herb Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin powder
  • ½ cup + 1 tablespoon extra Marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Red chili sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

BOIL MACARONI

  • Boil water + oil + salt in a heavy-bottomed pan. When the water comes to a boil, stir in macaroni.Add macaroni to boiling water
  • Use the guidelines on the box and cook macaroni according to package instructions. PROTIP – Do not overcook the pasta — Cooking pasta until al dente is the key to a perfectly prepared dish. Al dente macaroni holds its shape better during sautéing and finishes up perfectly to an appealing dish. An overcooked and squishy macaroni makes the dish look unappetizing.Cook Macaroni until Al dente
  • Rinse well with cold water after straining.Drain macaroni

COOK MASALA MACARONI

  • Add oil to a large pan over medium-high heat. Add onions.Add onions to a pan
  • Sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the onion softens and becomes translucent.Sauté onions
  • Stir in carrots and cook for 3-4 minutes until the carrots are soft and tender.Add carrots to the pan
  • Stir in bell peppers and sauté for a few minutes.Add bell peppers
  • Stir in Italian seasoning, chili flakes, cumin powder, and salt. Add spices
  • Stir in marinara sauce and chili sauce.Add sauces
  • Mix until all the ingredients are well blended.Mix the sauces well
  • Add boiled macaroni.Add boiled macaroni
  • Reduce the heat to the lowest setting and mix until macaroni is evenly coated in the sauce.MNix macaroni until combined
  • Garnish with chopped scallions, cilantro leaves, and serve. Veg Masala macaroni served in a white bowl
